Customizing clothes you already have is a great way to give your wardrobe a new lease of life without having to open your purse.I got this plain black jumper at a charity shop and then sewed on a polka dot peter pan collar from a bit of left over fabric.
You will need : pins, a needle and thread ,Scissors ,a piece of fabric (about A4 size) and top/jumper of your choice.
First you need to cut your piece of fabric in half and place each piece either side of the tops neckline .Next pin the material down into the shape of a collar on each side.Fold the ragged edges under the pins to give you a smooth line . Then sew around the edge using small stitches. Remove the pins and its ready to wear! You don't have to be an expert at sewing to do this make ,no one wil notice a few wobbly stitches if the thread matches the shade of material.
