Brassic Style Bedding

I have just given my bedroom a bit of a re- vamp and had a very limited budget.

Primark is always a winner for plain dye bedding .
I got this charcoal double duvet set in the sale for £7.00 and £2.00 for a pair of extra plain dye grey pillow cases.

I found a great Ebay shop called RZK Textile Group. They do so many different cushion covers.(just the cover no inner)

The Penny Farthing cushion cover was £5.95 with free postage and the type writer letter cushions were £5.00 for the pair (free postage).

So the whole lot cost less than £20.00.

Brassic's favorite Home Wear Sites for bargains:

Matalan - Great sales and cheap delivery  and good copies of styles like Zara Home and Habitat.

BHS - Great  sales - In store.

Argos - There plain dye bedding is great value and comes in many colours.

EBay - Nuff said.

Book Page Cards

This is a very simple and cheap way to make unusual greeting cards by using print out silhouettes and old book pages.

You will need :
An old book
Scissors
Glue stick
A coffee mug.
Pencil
Black pen
White card pack.

1.If you type in the animal or shape silhouette you want into google. There is a massive selection to choose from .Print and cut around your shape.
2. get your book page and use the base of the coffee mug to draw around to get a    circle shape.Cut out and glue into position onto the white card . Glue your silhouette on top of the circle .
3. Add lettering you can either free hand if your confident or do it on the computer .

What a Doughnut!

Homemade Hair Doughnut
I made this hair Doughnut using an old pair of woolly tights(washed first of course!)
I cut one leg of the tights to make a tube then I stuffed it with the other left over leg material.
I made it into a doughnut shape then stitched the open ends together .( You do not have to be good at sewing as I did this very roughly!)
To wear it you put your hair through the hole and then use a thin hair band to secure your hair once it is wrapped over the doughnut shape. Use hairpins around the base and lots and lots of hair spray.

Bat for Lashes!£1.00.

These lashes from Poundland are great value but the glue they come with is rubbish. Collection 2000 do a set of lashes for £2.99 and the glue is very strong. If you use this glue to apply the Poundland lashes they work really well.
Most lashes cost around a fiver a set so £15.00 for X3 .
So By combing these 2 products costs £3.99 for X3.

You are GOLD!....GOLD!

Costume jewelry can come in so many interesting designs and it can be hard to part with pieces when they start to tarnish and get that horrible copper green look.

I bought some classic gold Liquid Leaf paint(£8.00)from an art shop and experimented with bringing some old earrings back to life by painting them. The result were amazing and will save me a fortune.

The paint goes on smoothly and is touch dry in about 20mins ,but best to leave overnight before you wear.

Bear in mind that the paint is matt gold and will alter shiny pieces and the paint may not be suitable for for sensitive skin.
You may want to spray with a clear varnish sealant for longevity.

Liquid Leaf paint comes in a range of colours including silver.
The best prices I've found is on Ebay for around.£6.00.

Happy Blinging!
